Our morning coffee was extra sweet today! This little Bambi graced us with his presence at Headquarters!
At Alpine Valley Coffee, we love a diverse range of coffees. Iced coffee, however, is perfect for Summer months. Did you know you could make an iced coffee beverage with any k-cup? Just brew the coffee over a cup filled with ice!
We can’t wait to try this delicious recipe!

Hey there! I’m Coffee Cup, and it’s a pleasure to bring to you my passion for my namesake—coffee!
I’m often asked about the different definitions used to describe my kind. We are very misunderstood in the hot beverage world. For instance, my friend Cupp’O Tea has very few terms associated with his family. They are described as bulk, bagged, sweetie, hot or iced tea. All are fairly self explanatory, and few questions are asked of them.
For me, it’s quite a different story.
We come in so many varieties, with so many different adjectives to describe us that it can get sort of confusing. We come in hot and iced, not to mention light roast, medium roast, flavored, or dark roast. You can order us in whole bean, drip grind, espresso grind, fine grind, Turkish grind etc.
The absolute most confusing term is BOLD. I get asked all the time “what is bold coffee”? I myself am a very bold cup, but it’s more than personality!
Does it describe a certain roast, or a blend, or a grind? Does it have more caffeine than regular coffee?
Bold coffee can come in many varieties, and has nothing to do with the roast, the blend or the amount of caffeine. The term “bold” describes an intense, rich and robust flavor that has a full body. Bold coffee is about the flavor. There are light and medium roast bolds, as well as dark roast bolds.
It’s all a matter of taste, and may take a few trials to discover your favorite. When you feel like you can outlast that familiar battery rabbit… you may want to switch to decaf, and there’s a bold for that too!
On Friday June 3rd Green Mountain Coffee announced that effective immediately, they would be increasing prices on all brands of K-cups by another 15%. Because this is the 3rd substantial price increase in 9 months, I had a very unsettling weekend. Didn’t they just increase their prices just a few short months ago? Who does this price increase affect? What is Green Mountain going to do with the prices on their website? Who made these decisions? Their letter offered the usual explanations: that coffee is at an all time high and other costs, like freight, are increasing. Are these valid reasons?
As details unfolded shortly after the receipt of the email, I learned that this price increase was happening through every distribution channel including Retailers and Keurig Authorized Distributors like Alpine Valley Coffee. In addition, I also learned Green Mountain had in fact increased their K-cup prices on their Internet site to $16.49 for a 24-count box. While the fact that “everyone is in the same boat” made me feel better temporarily, I realized that a). We have to go through the undesirable task of notifying you about a change in our prices and b). Once again, we have to roll up our sleeves and figure out the best pricing structure for our many valued customers. Our mission is to continue to keep all of our valued Alpine Valley Customers happy for years to come. Some of you like to buy at our 4-Box Price Level (the minimum quantity to receive the free shipping at $45), and some like to buy at our 12-Box Level, the best pricing available anywhere on the internet! Keeping everyone satisfied at all levels is our number one priority.
The following will be our new pricing structure as of June 20th:
1-5 (24 packs): $14.95
6-9 (24 packs): $13.75
10-11 (24 packs): $13.25
12+ (24 packs): $12.75
The good news for you, as Alpine Valley Coffee Customers, is that if you are looking for alternative single-cup brewers, we will be rolling some out very soon! Stay tuned as Alpine Valley will be announcing the addition of two great alternatives to the Keurig! While the Keurig is an incredible coffee machine and the K-cup has dominated the single cup market the last few years, I know that new, innovative brewers are being introduced. If you prefer a less expensive cup of coffee, or you simply need a stronger taste than the K-Cup Coffees offer, you will want to look into these new products!
Thank You very much for your business. Please don’t hesitate to give us your thoughts or concerns—feedback is always welcome.

Sincerely, Charlie Hall, CEO Alpine Valley Coffee
Please wait to move about the cabin until the “fasten seatbelt” sign is no longer illuminated and make sure your tray table is in the upright position! Today at Alpine Valley, we’re trying a new spin on a classic in-flight treat, Biscoff Spread.

If you’ve flown in the Continental U.S., you’ve probably had to make the life-altering decision “cookies, pretzels, or peanuts.”
If you’ve ever chosen cookies, this Belgian spread will be a huge delight! The spread game has been widely dominated by peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spreads, but this creamy spread is something unique for your tastebuds.
It spreads like peanut butter and tastes like a cookie! It’s literally a spreadable cookie! In addition, it is vegan, but does contain wheat if you have an allergy.
Everyone in our office thought it was delicious, and a fantastically nostalgic treat. Their website has loads of recipes for the spread , which we imagine would be good on fruit or crackers (or straight from the jar). Have you ever tried biscoff cookies? Would you be interested in trying the spread? Tell us here!

As much as we love drinking coffee, we love the people behind the beverage even more. Whether they take their coffee with lots of creamer or drink it black, having a diverse palette is what Alpine Valley Coffee is all about. These are the perky people behind the posts!
